Fodor's Expert Review Ikbal

$$ Kas Turkish

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

This addition to the cluster of restaurants near the Lycian tomb has earned a reputation for the quality of its food. Run by a German-Turkish couple, it offers a mix of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. Warm starters—such as the delicious paçanga börek (a pastry filled with cheese and dried meat) or mücver (deep-fried courgettes)—are a house specialty; all are cooked fresh rather than reheated like at many other restaurants in the area. For main courses there's the usual range of fish, köfte, lamb, chicken, and steak; and the tempting dessert menu includes their popular apple pancakes.
