The low, bright white cuboid buildings of this big resort—whose name translates as "golden dolphin"—curve along an attractive white-sand beach edging a cove dotted with sailboats. Rooms are done in Mediterranean style, with lots of white and pale ocean-blue. Everything here feels plusher than is usual for Turkish hotels: carpets are thicker, beds are bigger. Pros: with almost every imaginable recreational facility, the resort is a destination unto itself. Cons: it's hard to get yourself out to explore Çesme when staying here.
