The 24 rooms in several two-story houses have fireplaces and views of the Heracleia ruins, the lake, and the Latmos Mountains. Bird-watching is an option, with flamingos and pelicans stopping by, and hiking trails abound. You can go swimming from the club's dock, but make sure you bring swimming shoes during the summer, when there's lots of seaweed and mussel shells. The resort can arrange tours to places like Bodrum, Pamukkale, and Iassos. Pros: calm and peaceful atmosphere; open buffet with a good selection homemade Turkish food. Cons: need transportation to get to nearby cities, there's nothing within walking distance of the resort.
