Marti Istanbul Hotel Review

Along with being a homegrown brand (the Marti Group has been in the Turkish resort business since 1967), the Marti Istanbul sets itself apart from the influx of luxury properties launching in the city with a central Taksim location and interiors that celebrate both modern and contemporary Turkey. Stretching 11 stories, with a gleaming central atrium, the hotel was envisioned by noted designer Zeynep Fadillioglu and boasts a sophisticated style with nods to Turkey's rich design and textile heritage. Rooms have fluffy beds, 42-inch flatscreens, separate tubs and rainfall showers, free Wi-Fi, and accents of deep purples and blues; suites kick it up a with hammam-inspired marble-and-mosaic Turkish baths, and access to a club lounge. Equally stunning are the restaurants: the casual, first-floor BRASS for 65 types of cocktails, live jazz, and French-Asian dishes; the Gourmet Shop for take-away lunches and fresh pastries; and the mezzanine Quad restaurant and bar for elevated all-day dining under an original Turkish tent. The top floor spa has five treatment rooms, a glass-enclosed terrace gym, and—naturally—saunas, steam rooms, and four Turkish hammams.
