Kafe Ara

Kafe Ara Review

This popular, wooden-floored hangout named after famous octogenarian Turkish photographer Ara Güler, whose black-and-white photographs of Istanbul line the walls (and who sometimes can be seen holding court here), is a nice place for a light meal or cup of coffee. The menu includes a handful of Turkish meat dishes along with more international fare, such as chicken tikka or tagliatelle with salmon. Salads, including one featuring grilled Cypriot halloumi cheese, are also good. No alcohol is served.
