This 15th-century house has recently been restored as boutique hotel. Rooms are large, and each is distinctively and tastefully decorated with modern wooden furniture and an Ottoman touch. The suites are especially huge. The building, once the home of Mehmet the conqueror's wet nurse, is on the far side of Selimiye mosque, with most rooms looking out onto it. The hotel is aimed more at Turkish tourists, with little English spoken. Pros: large, beautiful rooms. Cons: less central than some of the other hotels.
