Quirky-chic Lush Hotel, just a couple blocks from Taksim Square, is ideally located for those looking to be near the city's nightlife. Its 35 rooms are each unique in shape and design, with decor touches ranging from the exposed brick walls of the original building, to black-and-white photos of Istanbul, to modernist furniture and interesting lamps. Most rooms and bathrooms are on the small side, but are clean, comfortable, and make creative use of space (a few have loft beds). The hotel also has a bar/brasserie and a spa with sauna. Pros: central location; funky, hip atmosphere. Cons: some small rooms and bathrooms; room decor and size vary greatly; street can be noisy at night due to clubs and traffic.
