Despite its Spanish name, this charming café, which was started a quarter-century ago and is one of three branches in Istanbul, serves Turkish food with a modern twist. La Casita is known for its manti—a ravioli-like Turkish pasta traditionally stuffed with ground meat—and for its own creation: "Feraye" (a name the restaurant has even trademarked), which are manti stuffed with cheese and spinach, potato and cheese, or chicken, and fried. The menu also features creative takes on other Turkish dishes, plus steaks and a variety of salads. The atmosphere is casual, and the decor an eclectic mix of Mediterranean touches and framed vintage records dotting the walls.
