Saray (established in 1935) is best known for its desserts, but it's also an inexpensive place to get a bite to eat. The food is simple and satisfying: breakfast eggs are served fried or scrambled with cheese and tomatoes, the chicken soup is delicious, and the döner (meat carved off a spit) is excellent. Save room so that you can choose from the marvelous assortment of Turkish sweets on offer, from milk puddings to flaky baklava served with kaymak (clotted cream), and a glass of Turkish tea. Open late, Saray is a great place to stop off after a night out.
