Globe-hopping and genre-bending, the food at 360 Istanbul tries to take diners to places they've never been to, although the results sometimes fall flat. The location goes for the same effect, but with more consistency: at the top of a historic building in the heart of the lively Beyoglu district, the sleek concrete and glass restaurant has lovely views in all directions. Overseen by chef Mike Norman, who worked for several years in the five-star Çiragan Palace Hotel, the kitchen turns out innovative dishes like braised artichokes with sour plums, sesame-crusted Norwegian salmon, and harissa-spiced lamb chops.
