Splendid Palace Hotel

Fodor's Review:

For character, it's hard to beat this wooden turn-of-the-century hotel, with its old-fashioned furniture, large rooms, and Ottoman Victorian styling. The building is topped by twin white domes, copies of those at the Hotel Negresco in Nice. The more expensive front rooms have a stunning sea view. It's difficult to get a room on summer weekends unless you book ahead. Pros: romantic; peaceful; charming. Cons: a little faded.

  • Hotel Details: 70 rooms
  • In-hotel: restaurant, pool.
  • Credit Cards: MC, V
  • Closed: Closed Nov.-Apr.
