Named after the massive sycamore tree growing through the center of the restaurant and shading the upstairs terrace with its branches, Çinaralti ("under the sycamore") has been in business for three decades in the same spot on Ortaköy's waterfront square. With its relaxed service, spacious feel, and simple but attractive decor, Çinaralti has remained refreshingly unpretentious and reasonably priced in a neighborhood known increasingly for its trendiness.A refrigerated case inside holds the catch of the day—after sampling some of the mezes, go in and pick out your fish (make sure the price quoted is per fish or serving, not per kilo).
