Turkoman Hotel

Fodor's Review:

This restored Ottoman house on a quiet street not far from the Hippodrome and all the major sites has a spacious lobby and simple, clean rooms with brass beds and attractive antique furniture. Rooms in the new annex are larger, and some have views of the Blue Mosque. The two "family suites" each have two bedrooms connected by a short hallway and share a bathroom. The cozy terrace, where breakfast is served in summer, has a fine view over the Sea of Marmara and a fireplace that's lit in the winter. Pros: homey atmosphere; good for families; convenient location. Cons: bathrooms a bit small and basic; some decor a bit outdated.
