This is the place to come for what is probably the best Italian food in Istanbul. The wide of selection pizzas, baked in a brick oven brought over from Italy, is excellent, but Mezzaluna also turns out antipasti, risottos, and delicious pastas such as linguine with shrimp, calamari, and sun-dried tomatoes. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively: the walls are decorated with artsy photos, the ceiling is painted to look like the sky, and the tables are filled with chatting locals.

Keep in mind: Reservations essential.
