The inventive menu, along with gorgeous waterfront views and stylish industrial-chic decor—exposed air shafts and cement walls—warrant a visit whether you're interested in the art at the Istanbul Modern. A sleek, rectangular wooden bar dominates the dining room, which looks out onto Istanbul's Karaköy harbor (avoid visiting when there's a huge cruise ship obscuring the view); there is also seating on the waterfront deck. The menu includes lighter fare—including a variety of pastas, salads, and pizzas—and more substantial dishes like grilled steak with vegetable fettucine and pan-roasted salmon with fresh asparagus.
