Call ahead and this restaurant in the picturesque village of Kanlica, on Istanbul's Asian side, can arrange to have you ferried across the Bosphorus from the Rumeli Hisari neighborhood—a 30-minute cab ride from Taksim Square—in its private boat. Housed in an old yali (waterfront mansion), the restaurant has wonderful views of the Bosphorus. Inside, the look is nautical, and the seafood is fresh and superbly cooked to order. The signature dish is sea bass cooked in salt, and starters such as flying-fish chowder are worth trying, too. It's a bit of a trek, but it's a romantic spot and worth the effort.
