Princes' Islands Restaurants

With one or two exceptions, there is little difference from one spot on Büyükada's row of waterfront fish restaurants to the next. The best bet is to look at a menu and ask to see the meze and fish on offer that day. Food on the island is generally overpriced because everything has to be brought in from the mainland, and the heavy influx of tourists means venues have little incentive to stand out. Generally, prices are more expensive closer to the docks; the side streets farther in have some cheaper cafés and eateries (Konak at Recep Koç Cad. 47 is one popular choice ), as well as small groceries and bakeries where you can stock up on picnic supplies.
