Zinciriye Medrese

Updated 11/25/2013

Fodor's Review

Built in 1385 by Artukid Sultan İsa, this medrese sits up just above the rest of the city, and its crenullated dome forms a Mardin landmark. The compound includes a courtyard (now a tea garden), a mosque;and a tomb intended for the Sultan. Head up to the upper terrace for one of the best views of the city.
