Turasan Winery Review

Ürgüp's Turasan Winery, established in 1943 and one of the region's largest producers, offers factory tours and wine tastings. Cappadocians have been making wine for thousands of years, though you'll have to judge for yourself how successful they are. (Note that when it comes to local varietals, whites are usually better than reds.) In recent years Cappadocian vintners like Turasan have expanded and improved their range of offerings, while keeping their wines generally quite affordable—and vineyards add even more to the scenery.
