Fodor's Expert Review Bedrock Cave Hotel

Müdür Sok. 11, Göreme, Nevsehir, Turkey

Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.

One of Göreme’s newest accommodations, the Bedrock Cave Hotel has affordably priced cave and stone rooms decorated in a somewhat more contemporary, if eclectic, style than at most Cappadocian accommodations—think colorfully patterned bed linens, metallic-painted vanities, and modern armchairs sharing space with traditional Turkish rugs and ceramics. But what stands out most are Bedrock’s enthusiastic owners, who assist guests in a way more typical of large hotels with concierges. The enclosed and open-air rooftop terraces, where breakfast is served, have views of the town and surrounding fairy chimneys.
