Get the most out of the Altstadt experience by eating in one of its most beautiful medieval buildings, which dates back to 1260. Goethe slept here, in a room named after him now used as an extra dining room, the "Goethe Stübli." For the full effect, come for the economical four-course Business Lunch (usually around 35 SF), which may include cold apricot-tomato soup, duck liver mousse with steamed mushrooms, lamb filet with lentils, and—if you have room left—crème brulée.
