With its magnificent Renassance-inspired facade, this airy guildhall, with whitewashed woodwork and leaded-glass windows looking out to the Fraumünster, remains a lovely dining spot. The Zunft-Saal (guildhall) is a pine-wood showpiece, which greatly outshines the the main restaurant—a rather dull Biedermeier room. The kitchen offers light, seasonal dishes such as vegetable taglioni with spinach, or lamb with white beans, tomatoes and polenta. To drink in the impressive architecture, opt for outside tables on the edge of the cobblestone square in warm weather.
