Working on the principle that cheap should only mean inexpensive, this chain hotel is a dependable pick. Every room around the world is exactly the same: violet-and-gray walls and carpeting, one double bed, a single bunk set above it, and shower and toilet in separate, immaculate fiberglass modules. The rate for two is always the same. The location gives this branch an edge—it's in the hip, industrial Zürich West neighborhood. Take Tram 4 or 13 from the Hauptbahnhof to Escher Wyss Platz; the Etap is within easy walking distance from there.
