Freestanding on its own waterfront-garden grounds, this genteel, intimate retreat offers top-drawer haute gastronomie and a few luxurious rooms upstairs. Chef Étienne Krebs's exceptional menu may include duckling with quinoa and foie gras or royal sea bream with ginger and kaffir lime. You won't go wrong with suggested wine pairings, many from select Swiss vineyards. On-cue service overseen by the chef's wife is calm and elegant. A bit less formal than the dining room is the canopied terrace, open daily in summer for alfresco dining.
