Although there's a restaurant downstairs and a carnotzet for fondue, many rooms in this warm family-run inn have a kitchenette, so you can make yourself at home mountain cabin-style. Opened in 1947 and now run by the son of the founder, the hotel has lots of homey touches: books and magazines, swing sets, and a piano parlor. An older stone-base chalet on the grounds offers bigger rooms; both buildings stand across the street from the Bristol and therefore don't have direct access to those Villars views.
