Fodor's Review:
This Edwardian landmark, distinctly urban in setting and style, stands on a hill high over the lake, with layers of city scenery draped behind. It faces a city street, so to take advantage of its views you need a back room. Rooms have Empire reproduction decor with period details such as inlaid wood and dramatic art deco baths. The sleek, calming Ayurveda spa offers a wide array of treatments and classes. You are likely to spot International Olympic Committee officials exiting the meeting areas; the city's influential professionals entertain clients at the gastronomic La Table d'Edgard or at the casual but polished Brasserie du Grand Chêne.
