Behind the cathedral, this winsome pinte (wine pub)—one of Lausanne's oldest—produces an eclectic menu ranging from French to Italian to Swiss (rabbit and Rösti, anyone?), along with reasonably priced plats du jour, served in the casual café and the adjoining linen-decked restaurant. The glass-panel door is often left ajar by neighbors dropping in for a glass of wine or espresso and a quick round of gossip.
