Lausanne
Eclectic
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Behind the cathedral, this winsome pinte—one of Lausanne's oldest—features an eclectic menu ranging from French to Italian to Swiss (rabbit and Rösti, anyone?), along with reasonably priced plats du jour, served in a casual café and an adjoining linen-decked restaurant. The glass-panel door is often left ajar by neighbors dropping in for a glass of wine or espresso and a quick round of gossip.
