Getting Here and Around

Montreux is accessible via regional and local trains on the rail line that runs from Lausanne to the Valais. It is a 20- to 30-minute ride from Lausanne. By car it takes approximately half an hour on the A9 motorway; Exit 19 from the elevated roadway winds down to the lakefront road and into the center of town. Montreux is easily explored on foot, as traffic on Grand Rue can be bumper to bumper during the city's many festivals.
