Getting Here and Around

Coppet is but the first of many towns that rim Lac Léman and are strung along a main rail line in synchronized links approximately 20 minutes apart. Main stations like Morges, Nyon, Lausanne, Vevey, and Montreux are served by all trains (regional and inter-regional), allowing multiple arrivals and departures every hour; Coppet, Rolle, Lutry, Cully, and St-Saphorin are served by the local S-trains every half hour. Ticket prices vary, with short runs costing 3 to 6 SF and longer ones 10 to 17 SF. For departure times and prices for trains and buses for most destinations, check www.rail.ch —the main Swiss public transportation website—or call 0900/300300 (toll call). Remember, if you have a Swiss Pass or another rail-discount card, it also applies to the buses.
