In the shadow of a stunning mountain range, three hotels—Maison Blanche, Grand Bain, and the Hotel de France—are merged beneath one banner. Rooms run the gamut from standard, modern spaces to chalet-influenced accommodations with low ceilings and wood furnishings, though the hotel overall is in need of an update. There are also "eco" rooms for about half the price as a standard room, though you must pay extra for a robe, slippers, and use of the hotel spa. A compelling reason for staying here is that Alpentherme, the village's posh bath and spa complex, is connected by an underground walkway, which permits you to tread to your appointments in robe and slippers. Restaurants include dinner-only Fin Bec and convivial Sacré Bon.
