In the center of town, this wood-chalet hotel offers some of the best views around. Rooms have an intoxicating blend of chandeliers, rustic woods, and cozy furnishings. As for amenities, they can be mixed—generous seating areas in some, tight built-in nooks in others; whirlpool baths versus standard tubs—so quiz the reservationist to ensure you get the room you want. The array of restaurants is scrumptious, with ambience nearly more tempting than the food; they range from the folksy, painted-wood extravaganza that is Cäsar Ritz to a Tuscan-style trattoria and an Asian-fusion spot.
