On Montana's shopping promenade, this restaurant is a successful mix of traditional and contemporary, both in terms of decor and food. It is one of the village's favorite spots for specialty fondues, raclette, platters of air-dried meat, and Rösti (grated parboiled potatoes panfried into a buttery cake). Steak tartare is another major attraction. Dishes are stylishly presented along with a good list of Valais wines, and the sidewalk terrace is great for people-watching. It's so popular with locals that it doesn't close between seasons.
