Getting Here and Around

Transportation gateway to the Ticino, Bellinzona is not only on the Zürich-Milan route but also has frequent trains running to and from Locarno (25 minutes away) and Lugano (30 minutes). Note that the Swiss Federal Railway is here called the Ferrovie Federali Svizzere (FFS). Buses to smaller villages leave from the bus depot at the train station. Remember, if you have a Swiss Pass or another rail-discounting card, it also applies to the buses.
