Mineralbad & Spa
Mineralbad & Spa Review
The region's mineral springs have been attracting visitors for hundreds of years, and this spa, which opened in 2012, represents the latest wave. Perched at 1,450 meters (4,757 feet) above sea level, the Mineralbad & Spa offers stunning mountain views and delightful pools both inside and out. Designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta, it's fashioned mostly from Italian granite. The adults-only spa has a steam room, a unisex sauna, and a so-called "crystal bath," which is pretty but only a few inches deep. Despite its lofty location, the spa is easy to reach by cable car from Weggis or cogwheel train from Vitznau. Spontaneous visitors can rent a swimsuit and towel for just 10 SF.
