Meierei

Meierei Review

On a winding, private forest road partway around the lake, this 17th-century Landgasthof (country inn) is sought out for its light meals and delicious combinations such as fillet of venison with elderberry dumplings and polenta with mushrooms and Gorgonzola. Formerly both a farm and dairy, its sun terrace attracts day hikers, cross-country skiers, and horseback riders. (If you're not a guest, you'll have a 20-30 minute walk along the lake promenade, as only guests may drive in and park on-site.) If you don't want a full meal, light snacks are also on hand.
