Tschuggen Grand Hotel Review
Well-heeled luxury seekers are in seventh heaven as they step into the hushed, welcoming environs of this exclusive hotel where the drive to simply be and do nothing reaches new heights—especially at the Bergoase spa, where the striking modernistic pools offer sensory serenity come rain, snow, or shine. The lobby, lounge, and bar are decked out with plush interiors while the floor-to-ceiling windows and ample balconies envelop guests in the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and wooded pine slopes. Inside, individually designed guest rooms with leather headboards, vibrant fabric accents, and stucco ceilings are elegant; bathrooms are finished in local granite and marble. Mountain enthusiasts will appreciate Europe's only hotel-operated private railway, the Tschuggen Express, enabling guests to bypass long lift lines and travel from the hotel grounds to the center of the ski area in just two-and-a-half minutes. A game room for teens with pinball, a pool table, foosball, and other games as well as an in-house ski shop are also handy. The extreme attention to detail seals this destination as one of the leading hotels in Switzerland.
