Bogn Engiadina Scuol

Bogn Engiadina Scuol Review

For the inside-and-out spa experience, head to the Bogn Engiadina Scuol, one of Europe's most famous spas. Standing in the middle of town tucked against the mountainside, an elevator and a staircase in a silolike modern construction lead you down to the entrance, and the calming blue interior, fantastic aquatic murals, and shifting reflections from backlit pools start relaxing you before your toes even touch the water. Six pools, both indoor and outdoor, range in temperature from 60°F to 90°F. There are also saunas, solariums, steam rooms, and a massage area. A special Roman-Irish ritual treatment alternates between moist and dry heat, massage, and mineral baths, and lasts 2½ hours; it's best to reserve 24 hours in advance. A therapy center offers mud baths, gymnastics, thalassotherapy (using seawater), and electrotherapy (if you have a doctor's prescription). In addition to steeping in mineral water, you can drink it from four different sources near the entrance; wait for someone to serve you.
