Owned by the Walther family, proprietors of the neighboring Hotel Walther, this 17th-century house has been modernized in keeping with Engadine style—lots of wood and warm colors. The Colani Stübli serves regional and seasonal specialties, such as polenta "Engadiner Art," a filling cornmeal dish with bacon and local cheese. The game dishes served in autumn are exceptional, especially the Gemspfeffer (chamois ragout cooked in wine) with hazelnut spaetzle and red
cabbage. For dessert you might try the homemade yogurt with woodruff jelly and lemon crumble.
