Most hotels have a Wi-Fi hot spot, known in German as WLAN. Some offer connection for free, other connections must be paid for by scratch card or credit card online. Cost is usually 5 SF for 30 minutes, 19 SF for 2 hours (note that once the clock is ticking, it will not stop). Many hotels have some form of public Internet access in the lobbies (Internet corners) for those traveling without a laptop.
