By Train in Geneva

Express trains from most Swiss cities arrive at and depart from the Right Bank Gare Cornavin every hour. Bern is about two hours away, Zurich and Basel roughly three. The French TGV leaves seven times a day for Paris (five times on weekends) and arrives 3½ hours later; the Cisalpino makes the four- to five-hour journey to Milan twice each morning. Regional trains leave every 15 minutes en route to Nyon and Lausanne. Touch-screen consoles (in English) in the main ticket hall sell tickets for any destination in Switzerland.
