The multiyear renovation working its way down all seven floors is adding generous closet space, red and purple accents, flat-screen TVs, and a contemporary aesthetic to rooms that already have double-paned windows, rose-and-yellow carpeting, white-tile bathrooms, and lots of natural light. Many of the huge doubles would be called suites elsewhere; corner rooms have a separate alcove for kids. Top floor views of the Vieille Ville are superb. Now if they can only do something about that airport-lounge lobby.
