Fodor's Review

Each of the three eating spaces—the fire-lit dining room, winter garden, and breezy terrace—has a burnished, fairy-tale charm; not for nothing is this village inn part of the Romantik collection. The look is chic and cozy, replete with twig chandeliers, Hansel-and-Gretel wainscoting, gilt-framed paintings, and sumptuous wood carvings. The storybook-worthy lakeside village itself, a national heritage site, is eminently worth a stroll, and it's just a bus ride away, about 14 km (10 miles) from Centre Ville Rive Gauche. (In season you can come by boat and return by bus.) The auberge's big specialty is rock-salt-encrusted roast chicken, but perch fillets are always in high demand.
