It's worth the hike to this family-run pension nestled well below the beaten path for the flawless full-valley views, the pristine gardens, and the terrace picnic tables balancing precariously over the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The rooms are a dated mix of wood paneling, Formica, linoleum, and carpet, but the experience is welcoming and fun—and the owner is a Swiss hand-organ celebrity. The restaurant serves guests only.
