A shingled Victorian jewel box joins forces with an unpretentious crash pad—the Eden Hotel provides marvelous southern views, comfortable rooms with or without bathrooms, and pretty gardens, while Eddy's Hostel has no-frills dorm rooms and a shower down the hall. The terrific proprietress will help organize hikes. There are plenty of occasions to mix with other guests at barbecues, over drinks, or at one of many summertime live music events.
