Grandly situated on the hill above Wengen (more than a bit of a hike from the town center, but that may be a virtue), this hotel offers the kind of views that made Wengen world-famous—a Cinerama vista of mountain majesty with the buildings of the town nearly hidden by trees. Set in a large hotel lined with balconies, the Beausite encourages pampering in its new leisure area, which includes a lovely indoor pool. Relax with a massage followed by a steam bath or sauna. The restaurant is done in dull baby blue, the bar is out of Austin Powers, but the guest rooms are spacious, mostly modern but some have elegant brass beds and a more traditional, rustic style. For a leisurely look at the view, sink into one of the couches in the front lounge off the lobby. Near the cable car station, the hotel is a 10-minute walk from the village.
