Heimwehfluh

Heimwehfluh Review

An old-fashioned, red funicular railway leads to the top of this 2,194-foot mountain, from which you get views over both lakes as well as an elevated peek at the Jungfrau, the Eiger, and the Mönch. A restaurant and playground have been built at the top, along with a 985-foot-long bobsled run, and there's a model-train show with music, lights, and explanations about the replicas every 30 to 60 minutes. The funicular station is a five-minute walk from the Interlaken West station down the Rugenparkstrasse, with departures every 15 minutes. The train show costs 9 SF.
