Set on a hilly flank just to the right of the Bergbahn station and—more importantly—with a front-row perch directly across from the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, this is the most stylish hotel in Mürren. With one five-story wing dating back to the 1920s and an even larger and snazzier wing from the early 1990s, this is also one of the largest, allowing most rooms to flaunt balconies with "peak" views. In addition, the hotel has room for an impressive spa, replete with an indoor pool with staggering views of the ermine-mantled mountains. Inside, all is gemütlichkeit-elegant: the main dining is graced by Alpine paintings, the adorable Táchibar Bar has a big fireplace hood and looks like a Hollywood set, while regular guest rooms come with elegant pine wainscotting and suites can go all out with exposed timber beams and gorgeous fabrics. If you want to enjoy the high life—in more ways than one—head here.
