Hotel Interlaken Review
The oldest hotel in town, the Hotel Interlaken has been hosting overnight guests since 1323—first as a hospital, then as a cloister, and by the early 15th century as a tavern. Felix Mendelssohn and Byron may have slept here, but today the comfortable guest rooms are quite up to date, with sleek and eye-catching "Alpine chic" furnishings. A multicultural air is added by the elaborate Japanese garden and the international menus. It's a short walk to the Interlaken East train station, making excursions a snap.
