Trams and buses are handy for getting outside the Altstadt. Service by Bernmobil is extensive, with fares costing between 1.90 SF and 3.20 SF. Buy tickets from the dispensers at every stop by finding the name of the stop closest to your destination on the map, then selecting the fare listed for it. Swiss Pass holders travel free.
