The Fischerstube, a famous local brewery, produces its own lagers and ales in the deep, frothing copper tanks you see at the end of the room. If you like their Ueli Bier, named for a Fasnacht jester, you can buy a keg to take home. The look is simple, with whitewashed walls and sanded wooden tables, offering a range of tasty snacks like oven-fresh pretzels to heartier local dishes of steak or sour beef liver with Rösti, which tastes a lot better than it sounds. In summer, the rooftop beer garden is very popular.
